Teachers Finally Have An Internal Map - You Just Have To Read It.

Teachers Appreciation Week Spine

From my clinical experience, I’ve found that teachers are some of the most highly stressed patients. Many people think the life of a teacher is “easy” because they get summers off… But if any professional needs a 3-month break, it’s a teacher!

Educators have to wear many different hats… They’re instructors, babysitters, counselors, public speakers, and employees! Not only are they responsible for teaching their students, but they also have to keep a watchful eye on them, and often lend a helping hand or an open ear to struggling students. They must address the concerns of parents (who are often more stressful to deal with than the students) and then make sure they fulfill the requirements their principal and school district places upon them.

In order to adapt and stay ahead of all the demands on the body (physical, chemical, and emotions stressors), the integrity and function of the nervous system needs to be in tip top shape.   Although everyone wants to feel good, how we feel does not let us know the true function of our nervous system. Issues may exist without obvious symptoms. Just like dental cavities, high blood pressure or heart disease.

It’s been said that stress is the precipitating factor in approximately 90% of all disease. So it’s important that teachers take care of themselves, mentally and physically, if they want to continue helping children.  The body cannot heal, move, function, and feel its best when it has hidden stress patterns occurring.  In order to minimize the negative effects of stress on the body helping the nervous system function at its best gives our body its best chance at doing so.

This is why we test the nervous system in our office.  Scans like this help us determine how truly your body is perceiving, dealing with your environment, and to see where the true cause is coming from.

True health is optimum physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Drinking more water, eating nutritious foods, regular exercise and virtually every other healthy habit produces even bigger dividends when you have a properly working nervous system.
